The movie was about a very poor family who lived in a shack type house. The mother died, and the oldest (who was about 12 or 13 years old) of seveal children pulled the rest of the children around on a sled going house to house trying to give them away to other families. I have no idea what the name of the movie is nor who starred in in. I remember watching this movie as a teenager and crying my eyes out through it. I would appreciate any help I can get to find out the name of this movie and also, how I could get a copy of it. I wish I had more information about it, but thats all I can remember. Thanks.

Ooooohhh! How many Swedish kids haven't cried over this one. It sounds exactly like "Barnen från Frostmofjället" is the Swedish title. The English is "The Children from Mount Frostmo" (or possibly ...from Frostmo Mountain). If it isn't the same, your movie must be a remake of this movie. There is a IMDB web page at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0037527/. It's based on an equally tear wrenching book by Laura Fitinghoff, from 1907. The movie was made in 1945. When I was a small kid in the 60's my school class was promised to go and see it, but at the last minute the teachers decided that it would be too sad for us, and stopped it all. I still remember how bitterly disappointed we were.

"The Birds" IS a coloration movie, and that i'm particular that anybody would comprehend this movie. besides, there isn't any such scene in "The Birds" till you count number the numerous birds attacking Tippi Hedren contained in the attic, which truly doesn't adventure the outline. i have tried various titles, yet none of them have had a scene that matches. in case your mom recalls the different information, it truly will be useful. i will keep attempting different words and key words; per chance one will lead me someplace. Now, i will go go searching some extra.
