What's with people here on Yahoo! Answers saying she is from Europe or is from the USA???

Yes I knew the answer, but I had to write something to counter the dumb questions on here saying she is European!
People were actually giving the thumbs down to anyone that said she was Canadian!
She is from Victoria, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Notice the referance to the only other famous person from Victoria in her song 'Promiscuous Girl" - Steve Nash.(NBA)
...and yes she is 'half-portugese'.
