Yes, America is imperialistic, and has been for a long time (since the end of WWII). In 1949, the U.S. imperialism invaded China's Taiwan; in the 1950's the U.S. sent its armed forces to invade and occupy Lebanon; in fact there are hundreds of military bases of the U.S. in countries all over the world. They are in countries many Americans have never heard of, don't know where they're at, and couldn't care less about them, for example Chad.
In 1958, Mao Tse Tung said in a speech at the Supreme State Conference,"If the U.S. monopoly capitalist groups persist in pushing their policies of aggression and war, the day is bound to come when the people of the whole world will hang them. The same fate awaits the accomplices of the United States." Let us hope this isn't prophecy.
America's current imperialistic move in Iraq is simply the latest of many.

Not really. Being Imperialistic really means occupying lands - either as colonies or subject territories. America's bases help them to dominate areas that the country does not actually occupy on any permanent basis. This could be more accurately be described as hegemonic.

Thats a leading question. I'm far to lazy too look into the facts of it so I'll just agree with you, then I'll blame America for my laziness.
