There are no advantages for any suicide victim. Even for the terminal ill. If you are thinking of it, remember that when you stop breathing, its is the end. No way back. Whatever the reason that makes you thinking or considering that solution, regardless to how grave the reason, it will be of less importance when you analyze it talking about it with a friend, a relative or a professional.

The only way you can find it an advantage is if you would enjoy hurting those who have loved you and tried to help, if you were so powerless that you allowed something or someone cause you to take your own life and theirs is no more important than yours, or you want a first class ticket to hell cuz committing suicide is a sin.

Advantages: You no longer experience the agony of your emotional situation and move on to something else. You take the easy way out.

Disadvantages: People are left the clean up the mess you left behind. You scar a handful of hearts who loved you, you disappoint the ones who believed in you, you cease a life that could’ve been great, you learn nothing, and you live (die) with your choices forever.

- the person wouldn't be a burden on the health care system
- it would be one less person to contribute to polluting the earth
- wouldn't have to go to work on Monday
- the person could write a suicide note saying it's all Bush's fault
- wouldn't have to experience pain or suffering any more
- wouldn't have to deal with the whole pointlessness of life

You get to see what happens next, immediately. Of course, you might not like it, and then you can't go back, but at least you get an answer now. Or, as Hamlet says, "In this sleep of death, what dreams may come?"
