I think Britain would have exploited the US land to make itself rich and it would now be the dominant economic power instead of the US. Things would be very different

I doubt that Britain could have maintained its hold over North America in the long term. However if it had done Texas would still be Mexican, and the Louisiana Purchase would have been unlikely. Russia would probably have kept Alaska, and may have re-newed its interest in Oregon and Washington State.
