A Science student being in 11th can have a nice sleep of about 8hrs.. but as u get into 12th... U should reduce it to 6 hrs to get real nice days ahead ...
Being a science student & if planning for a cource of Bio/Engineering... m sure u would go for some special cource which would be even more stressful, so i would ask u to reduce that time ... slowly n smoothly..so that it wont be a tough task 4 u ahead!!

A normal person at this age requires a minimum sleep of 61/2 hours.Being a science student a minimum study of 5 hours is required.

The human body generally needs 6-8 hours of sleep a day. This varies from person to person. However, how much sleep you get is not as important as how regular your sleeping hours are. The body has an internal "clock", that regulates its rythym. If you mess up your body's rythym, you'll feel tired in the morning even if you had 10 hours of sleep.
Try sleeping in regular hours. If you want to wake up at 7 a.m. go to sleep at around 12 pm, give or take an hour. Go to bed at the same time every day, even on weekends. Eventually, your body's rythym will be so well-regulated that you won't even need the alarm clock to wake up. You'll wake up on your own.
Of course, if you've been sleeping in irregular hours, you'll need time to adjust. In the beginning, you might feel more tired/sleepy than usual, but keep at it. Once your body rythym is regulated, you'll feel fresher in the morning with less sleep than if it's not regulated.

Sleep has got nothing to do with your class. I firmly believe in "Its not the hours you put in but its what you put in the hours". Rather than rationing your sleep; focus on studying well in whatever time gives you the best result.
I used to sleep a lot in 12th and topped my class too...just managing time is needed.

hi..Firstly be calm cool though u hav hetchic subjects ... u cannot forego ur sleep coz if u dont selep u really cannot do anythin wid ur subjects.. A min of 6 or 6 1/2 hours of sleep is necessary...

even though science is a difficult stream, u must sleep for proper durations. approximately 6-7 hrs of sleep should be sufficient enough for you or else you will feel tired and drained throughout the day.
