You should be proud of who you are no matter what the rest of the world thinks, remember your culture, language, the family values and so many other great traditions in your country, yes Filipinos are cool and by the way i am Portuguese and have lived in your country, speaking from experience.

Syempere Filipinos are cool. When you say "I don't think we are really known..." perhaps you mean "understood". Filipinos are the warmest "Pacific Islanders" that I know. I am not a Filipino, but I understand the plight of the Philippine people.
Mabuhay! Ingat ka palagi.

Corruption is everywhere in the world. China as a matter of fact is one of the most corrupt countries in the world and yet, they have pulled their economy from one of the worst to one of the best. Even in developed countries like Canada, corruption is everywhere.

The only problem in the Philippines is that people are so vocal. They wash their dirty clothes in public. Freedom of speech is tolerated and most of the time, it is abused.

Do you know that even the poorest of all countries are proud of their country and their heritage? I am just so sad to hear that you are not proud of your own. It's about time to fly the Philippine flag in your own bedroom and in your heart. In so doing, you'll be proud of your heritage. You will be proud of your culture.

And oh yeah, Filipinos are cool!

Mabuhay!

From a foregn point of view, you got it right there when you say sometimes you are not known.

Many view the 'personal problems' as the chief export of the Philippines and don't blame your politicians only. Blame yourselves for the disunity and allowing your politicians to exploit your vanity, fantast and disunity.

Sorry, no offence meant but you guys really got to band together, to cooperate to reform your own country.

how dare you admit that you're pinoy yet you're ashamed to be one. no matter the circumstances the philippines finds itself in these days, her people should always be proud of her. she is afterall the motherland. sure, she's poor and she's down on her luck at the moment. but i believe that her people love her enough to turn things around. and in the meantime, she's still blessed with natural beauty that a lot of other countries would invade to have.
