Is the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI) a well respected association to join?

I am trying to start out as a home inspector and I am looking for a good well respected association to join. If you know of any reason not to join NACHI I would like to know.

check other inspectors in your area and see what they belong to. It should be on their business card. Any Real Estate office can give you about 10 flyers from different agencys.

most people i know join a half a dozzen different organizations, and put it on their resume. most businesses will have a whole bunch of stickers, chamber of commerce here, chamber of commerce there, bbb, whatever, whatever. join that one, and a few more if you can.
