I am thinking of getting an MP3 player for Christmas. I don't want one too expensive. How many songs can be put on a regular basic one?

very much depends on the size anywhere from 60 songs to about 10000 songs i just bought a 4gig one of ebay for $70 and can hold about 800 songs hope this helps
