I don't think so......................
Dhoni is a slogger by nature.
Yes i agree that he has made certain wonderful scores at the third position but remember they were either spinning or dead pitches.
Along with all our batsmen even Dhoni is a bit uncomfortable with the early bounce and swing of the ball in South Africa. So Dravid waits until the bounce or swing fades and then Dhoni comes to the picture.
So i think that the experienced slow players should first take away the shine and the swing of the ball and then let Dhoni have a party out there.

Not a bad idea. However, it should depend upon the situation of the game. If one wicket falls in the 1st over, it will be suicidal to
send Dhoni at No. 3. At that time a batsman who can stay at the wicket and steady the innings is required. It will be ideal to bring Dhoni atleast after 10 to 15 overs.

Hey man dont talk about this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dhoni is a cricketer. He should have the ability to bat at any dam position his team wants him to bat. Moreover i would prefer Pathan to bat at number 3 than Dhoni.Pathan is not as big hitter as Dhoni,he can utilise the field restrictictions and put the ball into the gaps..
On the other place Dhoni is a big hitter. He hits the ball very hard. This ability of his can be utilised by sending him at number 6 as he can clear the stands later in the innings when the team requires it.
TELL THE TEAM TO USE THEIR SKILLS AND MOREOVER THEIR BRAIN.

If u check the batting orders of any team the best player will bat at 3.This position is most coveted
Our experimenting has only ruined our team. You need a pinch hitter at 3 not always.
Let Rahul play at 3 when we play first and decide on the score we need on chase to bring in a pinch hitter like Dhoni.

Yes
M S Dhoni must come at three...
Instead of trying Pathan there, they should give Dhoni the chance to bat at there...
Whenever ever he came to bat at three, he played gigantic innings...
I am wondering why Chappel and Dravid is not letting him come at three
I don't know what evil is working out in the minds of Chappel and Dravid
Dhoni played wonderfully when he came at three against Pak and Srilanka...
If I were the coach, Dhoni should have been my player to come at three in all one days...
and tha lazy Sehwag shall never be there in my Indian squad until 2050

This will be a real good move if he is moved to 3rd position, as there will be power play in the early stages of the game he becomes very hand ful player with such a capability.

The first priority is to ensure that we do better in test matches. 3 test matches is that we have to play in SA. We should talk of ODI after these matches are over. By that time it could be possible that you have Dinesh Kartik replacing Dhoni. first pay aour attention on test matches and let it not be diverted else where.
Our problem is that we divert our attention else where and loose our focus on goal.
what you say?

It is number of overs that has been sent down. Position is not important. Yes he can be of use if he plays at 20 overs stage.
