my kids, always, it sucks
"Mom, when can I get this $350.00 Jacket?" (18 yr old)OR "When do you think I can get a replacement remote control car for the one I purposefully ran off the roof top and destroyed? They are only $189.00, I already have the controller" (11 year old)
My answer is always standard "I don't know, we are broke right now" Or "I just paid all the bills". So yes, I lie to my kids continuously, it blows it for me though, then if I want to buy something..."we're broke".

Well I don’t lie unless it becomes absolutely necessary. Having said that, I never lie to immediate family. I never feel the need to lie to a stranger, to anyone who asks for advice / help, to all you guys at Yahoo Answers. With relations I find telling a lie is sometimes the better option. To my clients I lie the most! Believe me it is almost a part and parcel of business.

I often automatically accept an invitation to a party or other social event and only later realise that I have no wish to go. So I lie. These days I try to watch myself not to say "yes" if I actually mean "no" or "maybe".

Well probably my husband but nothing serious. I mean I would never really come out and lie but small white lies. No hon you're bald spot in the back is not that bad. No hon you look fine you don't like you gained a lot of weight.

myself, no doubt about it!
I'm always careful and thoughtfully thinking not to say lies to others no matter what, because the truth is always the best answer, even if isn't the easiest one!
Unfortunately I don't have the same regard for myself.

I don't lie. It is a waste of time and energy.
