My son had a tumor on his head. It was a dermatologist that saved his life as well as many others who had skin cancer. Nope I can't agree that dermatologists are boring.

Actually- although I am not in the medical profession I do know many who are and also I am aware of lots of medical stuff- I found it is truely an amazing area of medicine. I once saw a real live surgery on TV and it was a facial surgery- to this day I never will forget out much I learnt that day about the skin. There is much more to having stitches than anyone would think. Before the surface of the skin can be stitched, all the muscles and other layer of tissues have to be stitched before the final layer. Dermotolgy is indeed an important and interesting area of medicine.

BTW: if you could find a way of making skin stay young looking forever, do you realize that would make you obscenely rich and have models and actresses want to sleep with you? Maybe dermatology isn't as boring as you might think!

Depends on where your intersts lay....it hasn't been one of my fav. specialisms either. (luckily dermatologists in training thought otherwise.)
