They're fame hungry bints. they have no passion for the music. If they did, they'd have started their profession the hard way, from the bottom, wrote their own music and performed in small pubs etc at first, then worked their way to the top. Not taken the shortcut and gone through the crap music factory that is reality TV.
They only did it for the fame and glamour. They wanted to be on the front page of the newspapers and to get into all the hot places. That's all. They're a waste of time and money. If they're on the TV, I'll switch over. I won't go to any show in which they're performing, even if that show would otherwise be ace. I won't buy papers or magazines if they're on the cover for any reason.
Manufactured pop is my pet hate, but I hate those noisy bints more than that because they're the perfect example of fame hungry, shallow as hell people. A waste of space. Their songs are so annoyingly catchy too. They're just plain crap.
True musicians care about the music, not the image.

All of those other people who have sold out to commercialism are scum too (the Beckhams etc). Girls aloud can sing, yes. But they have no passion for it. they just like looking pretty. I'm a bloke, and I truly can't stand them. They make my blood boil.

It's called marketing and PR sweetheart....yeh they look fab from a guys point of view...but they also CAN sing they won remember? The cover version thing is an ongoing debate about washed up / talentless artists using other peoples hits just to get a few quid in the bank...but thats to do with management and just about any POP band would do it at some stage purposely to fill in the gaps of a new album..again to make more money.
An it doesnt stop at singers....look at beckham, if ever there was a clothes horse he's one....cant say we won the world cup with all the talent he is SUPPOSED to have and what does he know about razorblades?
Same with presenters.... is Hazel Irvine a snooker player? Does Posh Beckham really design things or does she pay someone to do it then add her name....its all to make money babe...regardless of talent.

I'm sorry but I think you and the first answer are missing the point.
They ARE NOT a 'serious' group, no one can say that with a straight face, but they never pretend to be.
Yes they aren't all about 'the music' like some VERY pretentious bands I could mention, but then we know that as they were formed right in front of us on a tv program!
At the end of the day, most of the fan base they have likes the way they look, and if I was a pretty girl with money in the public eye then I would be extremly bothered about it too.
I happen to have two of their albums, and I bought them knowing I was getting catchy pop, which is all they proclaim to do, they don't sit around waxing on about the emotion etc, they get given songs, they sing them, they go get their hair done, nothing wrong with that!
As for saying none of them can sing, didn;t you see popstars the rivals? They sang every week live for over a month, and were all really good. Nicola sang a song (can't remember the name but it goes mountain high river deep) and me and my bf were like WOW!
And how can ANYONE say Nadine can't sing?
I happen to think they all CAN sing pretty good, but then I think Chris Martin from coldplay sounds like a drowning box of frogs so there you go, must be down to personal taste.

Most groups these days are doing cover versions. Not a fan of theres but odd songs haven't been bad not sure if they do a milli vanilli or not don't think so? Think like most wanna bee's they love themselves well someone has to don't think there gonna last forever though as not the best girl group out there.
