1.I KNOW sperm doesn't die when it hits air; technically it does since if a sperm cell alone touches air it will die but theres alot more in the semen (the liquid it inhabits).

2.Is sperm dead if it becomes cold? say laying on your hand for a while and when you feel it; it has a cold temperature that you can notice. (Since sperm is said to need a specific climate to live)

3.Would water certainly drop its temperature low enough so that the chances of pregnancy are very tiny?

You keep asking weird questions relating to unprotected intercourse. Why not just ask what's really on your mind than beating around the bush so much?

Sperm does not die if it gets cold. How do you think sperm banks work? Sperm can be cryogenically frozen for use at a later time. So you can't get your hand or water cold enough to kill it. Sorry. You need something in the water (like soap or bleach or chlorine) to kill it.

There is NO WAY to have safe sex from the things you keep asking. Please practice responsible contraception.

I would think that nature would make sperm as hardy as possible. Sperm probably just slows down if it gets cold. If I'm inferring correctly what you're saying, a cold water douche might not be very useful in preventing conception. While the cold water could dilute the sperm and remove some from the female, the pressure of the incoming water could push the sperm further up the fallopian tubes where the egg is likely to be. And the temporary decrease in temperature would probably only last for a matter of seconds.

Sperm can live in a woman's body for up to six days — possibly seven. That's why most pregnancies result from fertilization by sperm that have been waiting in a woman's reproductive tract days before the release of her egg — ovulation — takes place.

Outside the body — where they're not being nourished and protected by a woman's cervical mucus and vaginal secretions, or the warmth and moisture of a man's urethra and reproductive tract — sperm die anywhere between a half an hour to four hours after being ejaculated. If the ejaculate has dried out, or has been wiped or washed off, there are no longer any living sperm to worry about.

I go with feisty on this one. Sperm doesnt die when air hits it. (How do you think people inject it into themselves off a friend and end up pregnant). It can live up to 7 days inside a womans body because of the heat and moisture inside. Also once it is dry I suppose it would be dead then.

Only vampire sperm dies when it comes into contact with air. I once heard of this girl that retrived her boyfriends used condom from the trash...hours after he left and deposited into her vag and got pg. and probably 18 years of child support as well. IT WIll live for a significant amount of time..warm, cold or whatever. Gamma radiation will kill spermies however....tricky to do, but maybe worth the risk.

If temperatures drop low enough, your body won't be able to make sperm. Of course sperm dies. In the right conditions, it can live for up to 48hours, but after that, it dies..
