One Java Web Application Framework is IBM's WebSphere Application Server. It's quite expensive and the indended use is for developing and deploying Enterprise Applications for large companies.
WebSphere is a software platform that includes the entire middleware infrastructure (servers, services, development tools). Any type of business can be developed and deployed on WebSphere - Web Applications, Stand Alone Applications, Web Services etc.
