The laptop model i am looking for is cheaper in US than in India. Is there anyway to buy this laptop online and have it shipped to me in India?

Cheaper than that would be if you can ask somebody known travelling abroad for short while to get it for you. They can say it for personal use. Shipping the laptop by the seller would be costing you another USD 150 - 250.

Even though it appears costly shipping will be risky. It is best u buy it in India and pay in US or pay it is India.
OR Better u bring it along when u come to India.

Why don't you contact Dell Computers, they have connections all over the world, I have a Dell Computer & when any problems arise I call tech. support & almost all the time I'm connected to a technetion in India, Try Dell they are a very good & reliable company to deal with.would like to know if this helps okay?

yes most computer companys like dell,gateway ,toshiba will ship
pretty much anywhere due to the fact you pay for shipping!

You will have to pay some import tax. It will be done at customs. Maybe clearing the cutoms will take an extra day or week, however.
