Many, many reasons. In my lifetime--so many things have been improved as far as living conditions. Indoor plumbing (my first 18 years, I had outside toilet)---central heating ( I had a coal and wood burning stove for heating)--car are so much better and faster---mothers work outside of the home--children are not spanked today. Children had to work--chopping and carrying in wood, coal, in the garden (they were not bored or playing silly modern games or the computer) Why with all of these changes would out living conditions not change??

They ate real food and we eat junk food which is fast food and also spoils the health very very very fast.

We watch the world on our idiot box eating potato chips which is very dangerous, (couch Potato) they saw the whole world, being in their village, whole heartedly.

They were a lot helpful and reliable but we are not reliable because we have lost a lot of confidence, pretending what we are not.

They have kept their word how much are we keeping!!!!

The spouses respected each other from their heart. No divorces then. Now the divorce rate is on the high, because we are materialistic, besides money we r unable to see further.

They respected & loved their parents how much do we do????

They have sacrificed a lot how much did we ??

They gave back to their parents their due, are we able to do so??

THINK THINK & THINK LIFE IS NOT A BED OF ROSES IT ALSO HAS ITS THORNS. We work only on the basis of roses they worked on the basis thorns fist and left the roses for us.
Think my dear see how much they have left for the next generation and what r we leaving

a damaged atmoshphere which is known as GLOBAL WARMING. A polluted water - ocean/sea etc. Removed a lot of our forest, with modern technique, making the birds/butterflies/insect etc. homeless.

What we sow that we reap.
