Depends on who you talk to. Honda has a reputation for being very reliable all around. I've had people tell me they hated their Suzuki, but the SV650 I rode for 3 years had absolutely ZERO problems of ANY kind. It simply started and ran the same way every day, no matter what.
I'm sure there are good and bad models in each factory, and how well you take care of the bike is more of a factor in longevity than the minute differences in build quality.

I have owned or been around them all except apirilia. Honda builds some of the best engines in the world, and has some of the absolute best engineers period. I would never hesitate to buy a honda product. They come up with the innovations and are often copied. CBR900RR is one of the best well rounded racebikes ever. ST1300 is the best sport touring ever made with detachable saddle bags that double as a suitcase, abs brakes, the list goes on... and on..
Lots and lots of old hondas out there! They're just designed well, and can put up with what people dish out to them. My next bike will most likely be a honda!

It's not really fair to compare the Italian made Aprilia to the Japanese bikes, they are more expensive but as for the other four it really depends on the model. Overall they are pretty evenly matched. I've owned several of each and had my best luck with Kawasaki but that doesn't mean anything, other people can say the same about each one.

alot of people stick with what they are used to, personally all my bike i have had are yamaha's apart from one little honda. your best bet would be to stick with jap made bike, aprillas look really nice, can go like the wind but they will go wrong and they are more expensive to fix, honda's have very good build quality, suzuki's are hoolagans bikes wearing a shell suit and yamaha's well i'm biast, but i would deffinatly stick to a japanese built bike, it also depends on engine size as well.

I'll assume that by the question you are talking about small motorcycles. In short, all Jap bikes are pretty much equal in the lower capacities. Euro bike parts will cost you more and Minsk 2 strokes parts will cost a large bowl of rice (or two).
You'll need to put more into your question to get a good answer.
