I agree with those who chose chickens and cows, seeing as how they provide food for the omnivorous humans. But I'd sure like to keep the dogs and cats and can't I keep the fish and reptiles, too? And what would the world be without horses?

I am a great fan of animals of all kind, I cannot possibly pick few and when I know the rest will die. I therefore put the names of all animals in a hat, and pick two at random. And lets see what have we come up with, but whatever it is I assure you that I have done no favour to any of my favourite animal folks. So, this is what I have got: number one is the … what … I cannot believe it … the earthworms, now that is different, what on earth the earthworm would for me, I wonder? Now the second choice … the second choice is … the water buffalo … ok, I see that there is plenty of milk in there. So these were my two picks, and I have violated now laws of nature. I have used the method of ‘Natural Selection’ as suggested by Charles Darwin. But I will have to know some good use of those slimy earthworms now that I am going to live with them. They cannot simply hide deep underground doing nothing.

And now my heart goes to all those animals that I did not pick, all beautiful, useful, gorgeous and fun to be with animals that graced the planet earth with their presence for so long. We have seen good times together. We have lived together, hunted together, made nice furry costumes together, constructed beautiful zoos and animal safari parks together; we have even studies medicine and cosmetic testing methods in collaboration. But now, now it is the time say goodbye to them all. My special tributes to mice, rates, rabbits, kangaroos, chick monks, and all related species; to cheetahs, leopards, all cats, swamp cats, ants, spiders, and to all related species of land dwelling animals; to geese, buntings, blue ****, black birds, crows, and all related airworthy species; to sea urchins, dolphins, whales, see snakes, parrotfish, monkfish, beluga whales, sharks, octopi and all related species living under water. My special condolences for my cat who unfortunately could not get picked up on this occasion, who I entered not only in the category of general cats but also as my special pet I tried to bend the rules despite the fact that I have come know over the years domestic cats are selfish and looking good for nothing, and that they do not need our help as they do whatever they like to do, eat what so ever they eat, they come and go on their own free will and never listen.

the platypus, they have had to suffer at the bottom of the chain of life since their creation ( I use the term poetically not scientifically ), It is about time for them to be on top.
And second, so they have something to be on top off/superior too, the subspecies that is Pat Robertson and the rest of his crew wondering where everyone else has gone after the rapture.

Apart from humans, I might choose the most practical, horses and sheep. Horses for transportation and ploughing. Sheep for food and clothing.

I can't believe some of the answers..........humans and dolphins are..............mammals........Dogs are animals women are not.........(some might say men are animals) Hypothetical or not I wouldn't make that choice. All animals belong here! I'm sorry I just can't make a choice.

I think one would have to be the tiger. It's such a beautiful animal, and you just know you wouldn't mess with it.

I think the other one would be a cow. It can be eaten in such a variety of ways!

Polar Bears and Orangutans.
If they survive the climate changes should have sorted themselves out.
