Just downloaded 3d virtual earth from the Microsoft Live Search homepage but when I enter a Address or landmark I dont get any images just a red screen with the pin location marked on.What do i need to do?

I would suggest using google earth. It hasn't proven me wrong yet. It has great feautures, and should help solve your problem.

Yes, switch to google earth, because MS's earthy map thing censors sensitive locations that some people dont want you seeing.
