How do I make a main mp3 player?

How do i make my windows media player play for all my media versus itunes without uninstalling itunes?

open windows explorer.. goto tools, folder options..
click the "File types" tab
scroll down until you find mp3..
highlight mp3
click the change button
select from that window or browse to find the application you want to use with mp3s
