Life in general. The not so mere act of just waking up each morning, family, friends and yes the enemies as well. Each and every feeling, good and bad, happy (the smiles) and sad (the tears). Knowing that nothing stays the same and tomorrow will be better. What do you do when you wake up in pain, no matter how severe, you still wake up and there is a good chance there will be something to take away the pain. What do you do when you wake up hungry, like so many do, you wake up and there is a chance that you will be nourished. What do you do when you wake up in debt, you wake up and there is a chance you will find the means to get out of debt. What do you do when you wake up with something heavy on your heart, you wake up and there is a chance that that heavy burden will be lifted, but you do wake up. It might be call it optimism, but I call it happiness because there is always an opportunity for whatever the situation is for it to rectified. So back to the beginning, life makes me happy. God Bless.

Seeing the deep blue summer sky over the Four Corners area of Southwestern USA; rain drops plopping in the dust; rainbows across the sky when it's still raining on me; watching my grandchildren play; seeing my daughter smile; completing a project that has been problematical from the start; that special time of the evening when everything grows quiet just before the sun sets when I'm sitting out on the back steps watching the world. The sight of butterflies visiting the lilac bush; birds in flight; baby skunks trailing right behind their parents, little poofs of tails held up proudly; finding that one of those tiny green frogs with the blazing gold lines on it has set up home in the wet grass by the pump; the first snowflake on a grey day; the lovely light green of spring grass coming up after a long winter; laying on my back in the grass far from any towns, (up in the mountains), while finding strange to common place figures in the clouds; the golden color of the cottonwood leaves in the fall when I go walking and the smell is so special, telling of the end of the growing season. Coming upon a Lilly pond high in the Cascade Mountains while hiking and marveling at how they survive in that climate, (cold most of the year), and still bloom so lovely.

And having someone ask what makes me happy, to remind me of just how lucky I am to be able to be happy. Thank you.

Im a pretty competitive person so it would have to be something like playing yahoo spades on my day off and having at least a 2+ game winning streak when I decide to quit, having 'nothing' to do with my husband like napping with him on those particular days off when I can't play, bills are paid, food in the frig, a new movie to rent, and that late hot bubble bath and the sex with him that just completes that day/night is like OMG.
