I would defiantly pick Malaysia. A few years back I had a chance to move there for 5 years from my dads job but we did not go. I check out everything. The place we were going to move was "Kuala lumpur" I would really like to travel there someday. A ton of real cool stuff to do and see.

UAE if you love sand, oil, and heat. Malaysia if you like things tropical, old temples and ancient culture. Personally, I'd pick Malaysia.
If you are being invited, give primary consideration to the host.

Malaysia. There are lots of beautiful islands like Redang Island, Langkawi Island... etc... and amazing tropical forest in Pahang, Sabah... etc... and fantastic cultural places like Malacca, Penang... etc... and more to say about the delicious food like nasi lemak, rendang, pak kuk teh, roti canai... etc...
