i could never understand...rape..
why?
why destroy a woman's life ...rip her dignity of...create misery for her and her family..
all just for few seconds of pleasure?
is it actually pleasure?
its forced against the woman.
in my country,there has been rape cases involving 70 year old grandma,27 year old graduate,18 year old school girl,5 year old little girl and even 3 month old baby..
how can man be such a beast?
it freaks me..to even look at the news..
im a girl too..i have female family members and great female friends..
each day i dread the safety of all of them,including myself.

Men who rape, hate women worse than other men. They'll do the worse they can to a woman, displaying their hatred. It has nothing to do with love or desire. It has to do with degrading women as much as he can.

It's an abuse of power!! They're showing women that they're stronger and can do whatever they want with them. However, when they get caught, they'll be tossed in jail and become the little bitchboy for the other inmates. Even most inmates have no respect for men who beat, rape, kill women or children.

Men like that, were probably hurt very badly as children, and disappointed by those that were supposed to take care of them. Hence, they take it out on innocent women and children.

And their explanations range from Bundy's blaming it all on childhood exposure to porn to some gangbanger wanna-be's I read about who basically said they did it for the hell of it.

Hardly any of them, in the confessions I've dug up and read, say anything like the people that get paid to claim they know what is going on in the mind of a rapist.

Can't print them all here, but if you really want to get some idea of what motivates them, I'd go to the horse's-asse's mouth so to speak, instead of listening to PHD's in psychobable that have over-analyzed it and come up with nothing definitive that is objectively supportable.

I mean, let's face it. Isn't anybody else sick of hearing about rape being a crime of power and domination and it having NOTHING, -not a little, not sort of - NOTHING, to do with sex? The first two are certainly important elements and motivators, but I say if the crime involves a man's penis going into a woman's vagina or anus, then the crime had at least a LITTLE bit to do with sex.

But, maybe that's just me. Hey, I can't get a govenment grant, so what the hell do I know?

i feel sorry for you for feeling vulnerable. My lecturer once told me that most of the rape cases are targeted at women whom they've known for a while and that most of them are for personal vendetas, like taking revenge on someone else. if they want pleasure, they could easily go hire a hustler. so basically, these men are mentally unstable or somehow enjoy in causing pain on women. some of them are psychopaths. it's really sad actually, that those people can become so inhuman. i hope that advances in science will be able to capture these rapists and prevent other rape cases from happenning.

Happened here> I always assumed the mind is corrupted with wanting "power" so to call it and that is the kind of power sickos want.
I also blame porn sites... some people get addicted to those the same as drugs or alcohol and then they want more and want more, then after they seen all they can see, they decide to take sickness into their own hands.
Another reason if sometimes if it happens to a child , the victim will become the rapist later on in life...
Its a sick world and everyone has to be more careful than ever.

Because this is a male dominated society, so the men rape women. But if it had been a woman dominated one, we would have seen the role reversal.

but there is alot of (almost) naked women on TV and ads etc. from low cut dresses to bikinis to g-strings! they are so provocative. They do in the name of art and fashion!! they project women to be kind of cheap toys. i m a woman too and i feel sad to see this.

it just provokes people (men and women) to lose respect for women and humanity.

i'm not saying this is the only reason men rape but i think it just adds to one of the reasons that makes them venerable!
