I have been suspected falsely but not accused directly, it was just an attitude and a few throwaway comments to see if she could get a bite. All my dealings have always been above board and it is quite upsetting when you have been with a person for years to find they still don't know you. That kind of insecurity usually comes from behavior they are engaged in which makes them feel they deserve to be wronged and are the anticipation is killing them...In my case it was actually her building an on line relationship with someone and almost needed to pick a fight to move on. I felt the guilt of inadequacy and the sting of accusation until I worked out it was her. Chances are you are in the same boat.

I'm afraid there's not much you can do. You see, when you are taking a test, if the instructor tells you to keep your eyes on your own paper for the duration, that is what you have to do. Every teacher has different methods for detecting cheating in the classroom, and hand signals are certainly a way that students attempt to cheat. This teacher obviously thought you were cheating. The only thing you can do is appeal to the instructor and try to explain that you weren't cheating. You may have to explain where the hand signal comes from and you will probably need the other person with whom you communicated during the test with you when you do. Don't be surprised, though, if the teacher doesn't do anything about it and still counts you off for cheating. Even when your test is done, you still have it in front of you and you can still change your answers, and even ten seconds before time is up. That being said, any answers communicated or attempts to communicate them is technically cheating because you can still amend your test. Communicating with other students in any way, shape, or form is considered cheating by many teachers. After all, how does the teacher know that you weren't giving answers? Addition: Bringing this to a legal level is not really appropriate. It's way too much to go into for one test grade. All this talk of "sue him if he fails you" is absurd. Really, are you going to sue a teacher because you got caught cheating? Remember who has the burden of proof when you bring a suit. YOU DO! If you file suit against the teacher YOU have to prove that the teacher is wrong. It's not worth going to court over, just talk to your teacher.

I know how you feel. I hate that crap because you get more frustrated when you tell the truth and they don't believe you. Just go ahead and cheat you are already being accused might as well. Obviously they are stupid enough to still be with you if they seriously think you are cheating.

No, but when I was a teen I was accused of stealing by a convience store I worked for way back before people sued for this type of thing. The man intimidated me so much and I was so scared, I signed a confession and for what I didn't steal. As impossible as it might sound to other people, I can understand how you feel that way.

Usually when someone accuses there significant other of cheating it usually means that they are the ones cheating. You might do a little investigating yourself.

I'd be more likely to think, that if I suffered for it already, I might as well have the pleasure of actually cheating. But I wouldn't do it.

that's called control and it is abuse....they accuse you of the things they do and then continually pummel you with accusations etc. until you start to believe that you actually did it or you admit to it just to make them stop....do yourself a huge favor and get out while you still can...good luck
