The body reacts to different kinds of stress and negative thoughts can affect you physically over time. There are hormones in your body that respond to stress levels and can affect your organs including your brain. Dwelling on negative thoughts can lead to depression, bad temper, bad decisions and being surrounded by the wrong people. Being positive is healthy. Avoiding stress can certainly prolong your life. Positive people are flexible and can adapt better than people who are always negative. Positive attitudes can help to heal from illness quicker than someone who's really down in the dumps.

Positivity sees more possibilities, so it nourishes the brain and allows it to grow. Negativity feeds on existing patterns in a repetitive, toxic and degrading way.

Positive thinking is a start, a good start - but you also must believe every word you think to get the full dose =)

You create your own reality, hon. If you walk around thinking "Life sucks, this is stupid, I can't do that, what's the point", then your life will suck, most things will look stupid, you won't be able to do that, and there will be no point.
Negativity leaves your mind closed to life.
Positivity opens you up, so you're able to receive life's blessings, see life's opportunities, and enjoy what you achieve.
You reap what you sow.
