Pyrotechnics industry fires up

(Philippine Daily Inquirer)BULACAN HAS LONG BEEN tagged as the "Pyrotechnic Capital of the Philippines," where the manufacture of pyrotechnics is a cottage industry that roots back to ancient tradition.

History has it that fireworks were among the first items bartered in the Philippine-China trade. After World War II, the Americans brought modern firework manufacturing to the Philippines and the pyrotechnic industry in Bulacan has since been steadily growing.
