do female guppies always have a gravid spot or only when they r pregnant?!

i had bought some from the market sum days back and i have a bowl. I have a common pleco, four rosy barbs and 6 guppies, among which 3 are female and three are males. All of the female guppies have gravid spot, however only two are fat enough and have a larger gravid spot. I seperated it from the others and put it in a different smaller bowl. I dont know how many days pregnant it is, and when is it going to give birth.

The gravid spot is the name of the womb of a female guppy.It is always there and it never flies of her.It will fill up with babies so it gets darker and visible so people eventually call it 'gravid' which means 'easier to see'.and do you breed guppies?They are cool and I love guppies!

It will always be somewhat visible. However, it will only be dark when she is pregnant, because the darkness you are seeing is the eyes of the babies.
BUT, get those poor fish out of those fish bowls!! Fish bowls are not even suitable for bettas, let alone a large group of active fish. Common plecos can reach 18-24"! They are poop machines and require large tanks (60 gallons at least) with powerful filtration. Rosy barbs can grow 5" long and are very nippy; they will nip at your guppies' fins. Your group of barbs would need at least a 30 gallon tank with filtration.
Guppies are active fish and need real tanks, also with filtration. A group of 6 guppies needs a 10 gallon tank.
Please, PLEASE do your research and get proper tanks for these fish, or they will not last you very long.

Well mine always has it. Its just kinda a pink right now. When they are pregnant it gets really dark

It is always there but its light when there are no babys.
