I was an angry elitist nerd as a teen. Just ignore them, they just think they're cool because they have more experience than you and they like rubbing it in your face.
Or, on the flipside, they might just have the bad luck of hearing the same questions over and over again and it's starting to bug them. Also not your fault.

Assuming that you're talking about "noobs" in the aspect of video games, a "noob" is usually known to show tactics that others might not approve of that kills the overall gameplay experience for more experienced players, such as in first person shooters (e.g. Counter-Strike Source), one person unloads all of their ammunition into the enemy via rapid fire (even in cases of friendly fire where you're shooting teammates), then the shooter ends up dead when you've only had 4-5 bullets actually make it while all the other person did was aim for the head and make one shot while "noob" is reloading. Therefore, "noob" drags the team down by lowering the score.
It is the same reason that say, Joe Shmoe who have never played basketball in his life, joined a team with say... Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant and other famed all-star players. After causing fouls and dragging down the team, many people would agree to have him off the team; same philosophy in gaming.

I think you're confusing Noob with Newbie, as many people do. A noob is an unexpereinced player who won't admit that they're new to the game or a player who is experinced to the game and just acts like an all around jerk.
A newbie is a player whose just starting out. They are usually forgiven for the mistakes they make in games because they don't know any better.

Is it a clan? if not, then yea every one hates noobs if they do sh!t on purpose, if you said newbs I could understand and would agree with you man
but I have heard of a clan Noob I think the tag is like n|0|0|b[$] or something like that.
Besides Noobs usually reck the game, but some people just are mad at ya for something and call you a noob to so all you can do is get over it or play some where else.

the main reason ppl hate noobs is becuase they ask questions that have been answered a million times b4, but they were just to lazy to look for it
