At best they would have been ideal couples and at worst, the passion would have faded out and their love would have suffered under the rigours and responsibilities of married life.

Romeo-Juliet marriage was doomed: a very young couple, no control over emotions, no experience, always in hysterics & high fidgets. Romeo running around chasing other women (well if he forgot Rosalind this quick, why not Juliet??), Juliet getting fat, spiteful, hysterical... And their in-laws nagging all the way. I say bloodshed at baby showers?

If those historical characters would have married, the history pages / stories, would have been different. Many movies based on these stories would have been different, for good or for bad. And, it would have been a simpler story, without evoking any feelings in the minds of the ones who read them. It would have just been like any other love story of ''And they lived happily ever after''.

Lot of problems would have ended and we would be spared of lot of stupid films based on this weird melodrama. I think they actually did get married , some marketing guys just twisted the stories to spin money.

They would not have been remembered as the greatest lovers in history. It's human nature to remember bad things and forget good ones, to be jealous to success of other ppl and downplay it and to pitty unsuccessful ppl and sad incedences.

You wouldn't see... Romeo and Juliet, they met, they married, they lived happily ever after... BORING!!!
