It's not "B-Line", but "bee line". It comes from the fact that bees will fly straight to something (e.g. food)... i.e. they will "make a bee line for it".

It's Bee line. The term derives from the idea that once having gathered nectar, the worker bee flies straight back to the hive, taking the shortest route.

When bees exit the hive they fly in a straight line for approx. a couple feet then curve upward into the air.
