Lately i have been getting really itchy eyes. i went to the doctor and they couldnt say what it is. could i have dry eye? or is it something as simple as wearing cheap mascara?

I had that same problem a week ago. Try washing your eyes with lukewarm water. The sun has that effect on eyes so u should make sure that you always wear sunglasses with good protection, dusty areas also cause itchy eyes and even sitting infront of a computer for a long time, so if any of these sound familiar maybe that is what is causing your itchy eyes.

Do you feel it more after putting on mascara? Then it's that. Otherwise, itchy eyes may be caused by some allergies also, and it's a bit difficult for the doc to find out 'cause allergies just come and go. So consider going to the doc when you actually have those symptoms.

Splash ur eyes with cool water, with ur eyes open widely, the first thing in the morning. u need not apply any makeup kit.
Rotate ur eyes clock-wise & anti clock wise in full rotation. minumum 15 rounds both ways i.e 15 +15
If u have pain doing so reduce the number to 5 + 5. In a week time u will be able to come to 15, even if it takes a little longer, do not worry but keep doing it.
Before going to sleep, take some castor oil. close ur eyes & apply on ur eyes & eyebrows slowly and go to bed. Next day morning look at the mirror to see if dirt has come. Do this process alternate day for a week.
Do all of them and u should definately find relief.

It could very well be mascara. I have to use a clear one because the pigment in regular old mascara bothers my eyes.
You might just have allergies as well.

Did you go to your family doctor or a eye doctor ?
If it was a family dorctor there naver to sure what it could be. It may be a start of pick eye. Have you been near sick people?
But if it was a family doctor. well go to a eye doctor. thay know 100%more of a eye deal then a family doctor

what helps me is a gentle blow in the eye or put some "clean" water drops, and it has to be clean
