Question

I LOVE SCARY, PSYCHOTIC KIND OF MOVIES AND STUFF. I want to know the titles of some of your favorite movies that could fit into that category...
Here is some of what I like and why....
I like movies like THE GOOD SON: The boy was evil and deranged and he was a little a$$hole!
SAW 1,2 & 3: Loved the death scenes and the concept of the tortures
EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE: That chick was crazy and she was losing her mind, I like stuff like that (The storyline was awesome) She screams all the time and was possesed
CRY WOLF: I just loves the twisted plot and the fact that the girl was the mastermind (I loved dodger!)
RED DRAGON: That guy was really disturbed...he cut out his victims eyes and then he inserted mirroer in thier sockets!
Also, I like twisted stories like Resident Evil and stuff like that. Do you know any? I would appreciate it if you could name them out. Thank you a lot for ur patience

Well, being an old man (compared to most in Answers), my suggestions are going to be for the truly disturbing older movies.

First category: Nutcases and Psychos:
1. "Last House on the Left" and "The Hills Have Eyes" (original) - both directed by Wes Craven;
2. "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (original) - directed by Tobe Hooper, who appears to have lost what creative talent he had, avoid his latest video, -"Mortuary"- at all costs;
3. "I Spit on Your Grave"- directed by Meir Zarchi;
4. "The Sadist" - starring Arch Hall, Jr;.
5. "Maniac" - starring Vincent Spinelli;
6. "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer" - starring Michael Rooker;
7. "The Toolbox Murders" - interesting if only because it's one of the only slasher movies directed by a female.
8. "The Cell" - starring Jennifer Lopez

Aliens:
1. "Return of the Aliens' Deadly Spawn";
2. "Galaxy of Terror";
3. "Humanoids from the Deep" (original);--
4. "C.H.U.D."

Possessions:
1. "The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave"
2. "Ruby"
3. "The Devil's NIghtmare"
4. "The Exorcist" (of course)

Ya know, rather than list a bunch of movies you'll probably never go buy or rent, lemme give you some director's names. These guys do most of the movies which you seem interested in--

1. David Cronenberg
2. Hershell Gordon Lewis

4. John Waters (not horror but some weird, weird stuff)
5. David Lynch
6. Brian DePalma

I hope this helps- don't think for a minute the only good horror movies are RECENT horror movies. In fact, I would say some of the lamest horror I've seen is the more recent stuff. Good luck.

The Rob Zombie movie was pretty crazy, House of 1000 corpses I have not seen the devil rejects yet but I'm sure it is just as crazy. The Final Destination Movies are good for some pretty gruesome deaths and good story lines. I am more of an old school horror film junkie, like sleep away camp, amityville horror the original. most of Stephen kings movies were really good like red rose. Or check out faces of death they are movies about real death that are pretty brutal.

Just watched Dario Argento's Profondo Rosso (AKA Deep Red AKA The Hatched Murders) very clever mystery though it loses the plot near the end. I liked how it mixed horror with mystery. It's he best of Argento's film I've seen.

Halloween, cause Micheal Myers is The epitome of evil, he stalked his sister for damn near 20yrs. Friday The 13th, cause Jason Voorhies, was like this unstoppable killing machine. I also enjoy anything by Wes craven, Steven king, and movies with lots and lots of gore, like this movie called suicide club pretty good movie.

Dead End- I love the way it slwoly takes them one by one.

Heavenly Creatures- One of the weirdest movies i've ever seen i cant even explain it you have to watch it.

Blair witch 1&2- Number 2 is crazy.

Battle Royale- FREAKY

IT- Scariest movie ever i have a huge fear of clowns now.

Amityville Horror- I love the way you gradually watch his personality change.
