Not necessarily. If you say that you're "not religious", it just means that you don't follow an organized religion. If you believe in God, then you are not an Athiest.

No it doesn't mean you are an atheist. I often use the term " I'm not religious ". I do believe in God but l do not go to church or practise any religion. I do also believe in some sort of life after death. I was christened a Methodist, which l think is now a Uniting Church, not really sure though.Hope this helps to answer your question.

By saying that you are not religious doesnt always mean your atheist. I am agnostic and I am not religious at all. I believe that everyone has a higher power, but I dont believe in preaching about it trying to force on it others, attending chruch for a so called organized religion. Dont believe any of that.
Thats what it means to me.

Sometimes religious people say they're not religious, when in fact they are, they just don't practice regularly. A literal meaning of not religious would be either agnostic or atheist.

Not really or else they would have said I am an at hist. It probably means I have a religion but I really don't practice it or get involved in any of the rituals or functions.

I don't think anyone can be not religious. But you'll have to define what religious really means.

It means that they really don't worship God ...They are not saying that they do not believe in God - BUT they just do not have any religion and they don't bother with finding out if God is real or not...It just don't matter one way or the other to them......It also means that when they were growing up- their parents deprived them of lerning about God and the Church and the ever after........

It means very clearly that you are an atheist unless you aknowledge the existence of a god. If that's the case, then you are a non-practicing Pagan/ Wiccan, etc.

it means you are not in an organized system of faith and worship or belief concerning the supernatural, sacred, or divine, and the moral codes, practices and institutions associated with such belief.
