it's not a stupid question, its quite sensible really, the best way i can think of planting nettles is to fork out the roots with a digging fork and transplant them into the area you want them, remember that its not the nettle leaves that sting you but the stems, good luck,

Happy, happy, joy, joy another loonie like myself. My only advice is be sure your area is perhaps isolate from your other perrenial beds, nettles like undisturbed soils similar to roadside ditches.
I had great trouble propogating in good soil beds, also the Maximillian sunflowers I gathered from the roadside liked as little disruption as possible. Thankfully more nurseries in TX are starting to have native species in stock.

i imagine they're interior of sight to italy and were imported to britain in the course of the roman empire to (believe it or no longer) keep the roman infantrymen warmth for the duration of british winters. they rolled in them to keep their pores and skin warmth. so, we've the right surroundings for them (meditteranean) yet i do not imagine they were ever imported or presented for the era of to australia. i'm enormously particular that the at the same time as the british colonised australia, they did not favor to carry them over! in the adventure that they have got not been presented now, then i doubt you'd be able to carry them in.
