For day make - up use a flesh-toned lip pencil to softly define and fill in the lips. Follow with a clear red lip gloss to cover.
When going from your day look to evening, try adding a stronger lip color(matte red/ bright red).

With green eyes and brown hair, I would probably stay away from the blue side of the color pallet and stay with the red tones.
Your exact skin tone and hair color will have a lot to do with what looks best. Try matching your skin tone and hair’s shade of brown against some of the models on these pages: http://www.buddyandoscars.com/intimate_nights_lingerie_4.htm http://www.buddyandoscars.com/intimate_nights_lingerie_5.htm for some idea about what different effects are created with the various tones and shades.
I think you’ll find that as a general rule, the darker shades of brown the hair is, the darker shade of red to use is a good rule of thumb. Highlight and blend the center of your lips with a gloss with the lighter color pallet, such as the pinks and beiges, to create a fuller look, especially on the bottom lip. For a more dramatic look, go darker with the base and the highlight.

i would say a light pink hue if you think that is too girly try going with clinque and use sun kissed lip gloss it looks like lipstick but has the shine of lip gloss. That is what i use and I have the same complexion

a nice ligh brown or skin colour would look great with your discription. Even bright colours like reds and pinks even something like a nice dark purple not to dark though. The light colours would bring out your pretty green eyes.

Green eyes and tanned skin is such a nice combination - I think you should accentuate your eyes and then go with a transparent gloss.

I think a deep shade of pink should do it. Pink just goes about with any skin types.

You are probably gorgeous...so anything would work.Light natural colors would work best and would not draw away from your green eyes.Which I'm sure is a point of pride. for you.Plum or any other dark colors would not work well as they look whorish.
