You really can't tell for several weeks that your are pregnant simply by feeling your belly. By all appearances most 1st time mommies don't notice any changes to their belly till they are more like 3 months along. Most people experience other symptoms like nausea, breast tenderness, sinuses, energy levels or a sensitive sense of smell before they feel a change in their belly.

Usually the baby starts to kick around four or five monthes old. Is that what you mean? Depending on your body type you might start to show early on in the pregancy or later on.
Don't pay those guys any attention either, they're just jerks.
