Why does the fact that women outnumber men need to be 'managed'? Where does it say that every single women in the world needs a man? I don't get it. I'm a Muslim women and polygamy was not to 'manage excess women'- it was so that the Prophet could intermarry into several families and convert them to Islam. It was also preferable during times of war so that the women could be taken care of. Today, women don't need to be married to take care of themselves- we have jobs and are often supporting our own families.
