My hard drive spin up time keeps slowly going up and i was just wondering if that is good. It is a new hard drive and when i got it the spin up time was at 130 not its at 141 after 6 days.I am using active S.M.A.R.T to moniter it.

The spin up time is nothing to worry about, and changes over time.

As long as S.M.A.R.T. doesn't warn you about critical failures after the BIOS POST (the black screen where your Memory is counted and hardware is listed before the Windows Logo appears), your drive is OK.

Some RAM/hard drive problems can be easily fixed yourself by using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful. Try this site, if you can get what is required
