this refers to what seems to be the "in " thing with all the young hollywood people and models these days of being stick thin and only weighing 90 lbs and being a dress/pants size zero.

I don't know.
I am a size zero but it sucks. In another question I answered I was naturally thin and i can't gain weight because my metabolism is high.
Anyways, I wish I could be a size 3. It is really hard to find a good pair of jeans for me.
I like my waist and my flat tummy, but, shopping for pants or jean is a big headache for me.
sometimes i find good jeans at 5.7.9 store.
I'd say size 3 is perfect.

The stick thin trend. They are referring to the clothing size 0 or the lack of a size for that matter.

The quest to become stick-thin, like Paris Hilton, Kate Moss and Nicole Richie. They don't eat but smoke lots of cigarettes, and later tell everyone how much they would love to be 'normal-sized' again.

It's controversial because people think it's unhealthy to starve yourself and yet they are 'role models' for many young teenage girls out there.
