Except you weren't actually pregnant? LOL. That has to be the most embarrassing thing in the world to happen to a woman.

I'll confess.

My dad did it to my sister-in-law. He hadn't seen her in years and she's put on alot of weight. They were both mortified! I now don't ask when the baby is due until I hear a woman mention it or the belly is overly-obvious.

I was once asked when I was due and was told that my nose had widened, but I wasn't pregnant. I also had a rumor spread abotu me saying that I was pregnant and that the father was some I spoke with once.

Kind of.

Someone congratulated me because my mother had told her very early on (one of her bingo friends) but then neglected to mention later that I'd miscarried.

That was very awkward. And sad.

I haven't had that happen but I heard of one woman who did. She told them as soon as she gets pregnant, she'll let them know.

Well, sorta.

I was pregnant, but miscarried a few months later.
