If you prefer gaming, the short and sweet answer would be the desktop - laptop if you love to be on the go, which I don't see so.

I'm sorry but I do not know which units are & are not available in your area, however, I can comment on the second part of your question.

The most volatile (so far as hardware resource requirements) aspect of the PC market is gaming. With this in mind it is clear that upgradabilty should be a key factor in your decision....unless you can afford a brand new PC each year.

Back in the 1980's Bill Gates said he could not conceive of a home computer ever needing more than 640KB of ram....boy was he wrong.

This issue with laptops is that upgrade such as mainboards or processors (& graphic cards) are very limited if not indeed impossible. Laptops are designed basically for portability.

A desktop PC will allow you the option of choosing a mainboard built for the future. AM2 boards (in desktops)) are designed to handle quad-core processors when they hit the market .... pull the old one out & slap the new one in. No notebook on earth will allow this.

Forget portability & go for power. Choose a mainboard that is built with the future in mind & you will save yourself regret & frustration (& money).

If you don't plan to bring your computer everywhere, you should get a desktop. Reason; because the desktop is cheaper, more powerful and upgradable.

You should get a Dell computer, whether it is a desktop or laptop. You can order it online, so I'm sure they can deliver it to you. Check out dell.com. I just got mind a month ago... so far my computer is working out perfectly.
