I had the same problem a while back, I'm guess you are using mozilla. I believe the reason IE is not working is because you have the yahoo toolbar, and there was a conflict with yahoo toolbar and IE when one updated.

It could have become corrupt from spyware or some other virus. If you still have your windows cd, you can delete and reinstall it.

Go to Start menu, control panel, add or remove programs,

on the left hand side there is a list of options, the one you want says add/remove windows components. click that

internet explorer is on the list, and is not too far down, uncheck it and click next to continue with uninstalling it. Then simply repeat the process to add it back. you will have to update it again, but it saves some hassle.

Otherwise, you can have a friend download it and burn it to a cd (or try a different browser such as Opera or Firefox.)

the most probable reason is that ur ie is corrupt and u need to reinstall it again
for reinstalling u need to either have a separate setup for the internet explorer from somewhere or alternatively if u have the windows cd with u can install it from that
for that go to add and remove programs there on the left pane select windows components and uncheck the ie from there and u are done follow the same procedure for reinstalling the software
happy surfing

There are many causes in which your IE is not working. But for now try reinstalling Internet Explorer from your media source(CD, etc.).

Hi there!
I don't know why your IE quit working, but the quick solution is to put "IE download" in your search engine, choose the version you had, or upgrade if your system meets the system requirements. And you will then be back in business!
I hope this helped!
Take care! :)
