It is 3:43 AM and I need a speech topic for a final presentation I have to make in front of 50 people. The speech can be either informative or persuasive. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Here are some fun topics that your class can relate too. I just finished up my speech class this quarter so some ideas (or speech's i've heard) are still fresh.

Topic on how well you can think / function by getting enough sleep each night for the following day.

Does procrastinating help?

Topic on Santa Claus.

Topic on how to make good power point presentations

Topic on different kinds of social networking sites that are available (facebook, myspace, etc.)

Topic on PC or Mac... describe the differences.

Persuade that game violence is harmful or not harmful to those playing the game.

Ethics on creating such violent video games.

Topic on the fight against SPam.

Persuade us to read some good books / watch some good movies that you have already watched.

I just finished a persuasive topic to persuade students to start saving money early. Big reward / payoff in the future.

Tell me if you would like some more topics.

Topic on the culture of coffee (starbucks).

Maybe something on fast food restaurants.

Topic on the different kinds of genre of music.

Tell me if you need some more...

Make a persuasive talk about how the forced assignments such as speech writing on young people of your age can be psychologically damaging to them --- let alone the fact that the pressure of the speech itself can wind up permanantly damaging one's self esteem !!! It the major part of your audience is students that have had to do this same assignment---they will be easily persuaded and you'll have them eating out of your hand-- and if it is done with enough "tougue in cheek " humor---you'll have the teacher wowed as well !!!!

Persuade them that the Phoenix Suns will make it to the NBA Finals.
Inform them on how the Scientific Revolution or Enlightenment or Reformation impacted the world.
Persuade them that the Nintendo Wii is a better system than PlayStation 3. (actually getting up and moving, more family-friendly games, etc.)
Sorry, I'm tired too and can't think of anything else. I hate insomnia, especially during finals.

The reinstitution of orphanages in the U.S. Children cannot continue to be socialized by those who are themselves unsocialized. An investment now in childrens homes with real accountability and oversight will avert a crisis in crime and welfare dependancy for the next generation.
