I can take vacation anytime, so I'm wondering when I would be able to get the most for my money in Las Vegas. I know in December before Christmas is good, when else?

The two weeks before Christmas and pretty much any time in June, July, or August - if you don't mind heat. (it can be 120 degrees during the day, but everything is air-conditioned.) I'd avoid any holiday weekend - like Labor Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, etc. (If schools are closed, figure it's going to be crowded!) Also, from the end of December thru January - there's a HUGE electronics convention every year and you'll end up spending an arm and a leg to go. (The convention is almost a month long)

Las Vegas is a city that's something for all so learn it with hotelbye . Las Vegas is a city with great attractions and some of those is the popular Las Vegas Strip; the place where tourists may have a go in the warm desert evening, or take a stroll downtown and see a impressive light show that spans an entire block, the Fremont Street Experience. Readers can also get a view of incredible earth famous re-creations like erupting volcanoes, the Eiffel Tower and the Sphinx of Egypt facing the different resorts and casinos. Las Vegas is really a city that continuously reinvents it self, so even if you have already been here before you'll never go out of enjoyment items to do.

Unlike many destinations, Las Vegas is pretty much happening any time of the year.

As far as the time of year that you go, it depends on what is more important to you, getting the cheapest vacation possible or having really nice weather. When the weather is nice, more people go and therefore it is more expensive. When the weather isn't so great, fewer people go and you can often get better rates.

Late November through Christmas and then early January through February are traditionally slow times for Vegas. Generally speaking, those are pretty safe bets to get some bargains. The problem is that you're not going to get much pool time during those months. Daytime temps average in the 50s and 60s, which may sound tropical for those of you in snow-country, but it isn't terribly warm and most hotels close their pool areas during those months. Nighttime temps can dip down into the 30s, so if you choose this time of year be sure to bring a jacket or coat.

The summer months -- late June through August -- are also traditionally off-season in Vegas. The downside, of course, is the heat, with daytime temperatures averaging in the upper 90s or 100s. If you don't mind being hot, these are really good times to go for cheap room rates -- but be sure to bring plenty of sunscreen!

If you're looking for really nice weather, mid-March through May and September through early October are usually the most moderate, with daytime temps in the 70s and 80s and plenty of sunshine. But as mentioned, these are also traditionally the busiest times of the year, with lots of vacationers and business travelers, so expect higher rates and a lot more crowds.

Try to avoid holidays -- even relatively minor ones like President's Day -- unless you want to pay higher room rates and fight major crowds.Or you can to about any hotel web site and look at the rate calendars to see when the slow times are. A good one to use is Monte Carlo b/c you can look upto 6-months out. When rooms are $69.

The summer is a great time to go. Temperatures are soaring July/August time so many people find it too hot - as a result, hotels drop their prices. Relatives of ours get great deals on the Bellagio hotel in August. If you can cope with the heat, go for it.
