Yes. That has happened, outside of Jonah and the whale. I can't give you a link to any story about it, though.

I just remember that I read of a 19th century sailor going overboard, being swallowed by either a whale or a very large fish. At some point the animal vomited him out. The digestive juices in the animal's stomach had burned his skin, and bleached his hair. His skin was somewhat bleached in places as well. He was very ill from the incident, never completely recovered his health, and died a few years later.

That's al i got.

No. This happens with fish and krill sometimes. They survive the ride down to the stomach. But even it they were alive in the whale's stomach, the whale's digestive juices would burn and melt(i guess) the food like acid to get the nutrients and fat from the the food.

I suspect there would be more gastric acid than air. Gastric acid dissolves flesh. Most creatures don't like having air bubbles in their stomach, so they belch it out. (That's why you burp.) So I guess if you lived longer than a couple of seconds, it would be really painful. Survival inside the mouth is doubtful because the whole point of the mouth is to swallow whatever is caught in the baleen plates after the water is squeezed out.

Without air to breathe, you would not survive long. Add to that the fact that most stomachs contain hydrochloric acid (to digest the food) and you don't stand much of a chance.

Are you saying that the BIBLE and DISNEY used that information without researching it?!?!? with no scientific basis?!?!!

well what a shocker!!!

Infact, not so much the whale, you'd have thought the salt air would've knackered up pinocchio's varnish....

No air. You wouldn't live for long, unless you had oxygen tanks which is a possibility, especially if you were diving.

No. By the way, the bible actually is interpreted as saying that Jonah died but was resurrected. And of course, if God is real, then he can do anything, so why quibble?
It's an incredible story, look it up.
