FDR, and Lincoln, not a doubt about it. I also think that any President, Democrat or Republican, who can bring the country (and the world) out of its current crisis, will stand right alongside these two great men.

Best Democrat President... John F. Kennedy

Best Republican President --If we can count Abraham Lincoln has a Republican (id pick him) but officially he was a member of the Republican/National Union Party. Which was an alliance between the Republican Party and some Northern Democrats (plus a few anti-Confederate Southerners such as Andrew Johnson) during and after the Civil War.

If not then, Best Republican President .. Theodore Roosevelt

Franklin Roosevelt was elected 4 times in a row, so he easily wins as greatest Democratic President. On the downside he got nearly 500,000 American soldiers killed in WWII, his new Deal Was a failure and more social security and medicare are going to greatly hamper the U.S. in the next two decades. He wasn't much for having women vote either.

I Would say Ronald Regan was the best Republican president and it wasn't really because of him, it was that he filled the leadership role very well. His staff was brillant. Sure Regan faced impeachment, bugged out of Beruit, caused massive debt and had that anti missle system (which helped the U.S. create working anti missle systems on the convensional level) but he got the U.S. back on track economically (no more oil crises or mass stagflation and the DOW/SP500 just screamed upwards) and militarly. Regan also got the U.S. into a better fight against drugs and AIDS (which was discovered in his term). Regan also has a still living gay daughter so he wasn't the gay basher that some conservative Republicans were and are.

Greatest Democratic president is probably Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He brought America through the Great Depression, instituted Social Security, and won WWII.

The greatest Republican president. Hmmm. Toss up between George W. Bush, Richard Nixon, and Ted Bundy.

Democrat president: FDR, or JFK
Republican president: Lincoln, or Reagan

To those of you who absolutely REFUSE to look past your own blatant partisan ignorance, get a grip and read a history book, and also dunk your head into a bucket of ice water.

Both parties are filled with corruption and idiocy, and there have also been great men on both sides. If you refuse to recognize that, then do us all a favor and STOP VOTING.
