As long as your doctor is aware of your pregnancy and prescribes them for you then i don't see a problem, I'm 34 weeks and just got done taking some antibiotics for a ear infection.

I was just on antibiotics for bronchitis. I was also took them with my last pregnancy for the same reason. The only bad outcome has been a yeast infection! I completely forgot this happens so if I was you, I would eat yogurt every day or use Acidophilous pills (They are safe, all natural, and about $3 for 120 pills) to keep from getting an infection.

The big question is, DOES THE DOCTOR WHO PRESCRIBED THAT MEDICATION KNOWS THAT YOU ARE PREGNANT?!!! If yes, then go ahead, the doctor surely gave you safe medicines. If NOT, might as well go back to the doctor and tell him you are pregnant. He will probably change the antibiotics he gave you. Just make sure you'll tell your doctir you're pregnant ahead of time for precaution. God bless you!!!

i was at an antenatal visit with my doc and it was found I had a urinary tract infection.. he prescribed antibiotics for me I questioned him and said they wont hurt the baby will they.
I know it was a silly thing to do.. I just want my child to have the best chance at life!! I'm a first time mum and paranoid!! If the doc knows your preggas then they shouldn't do anything to hurt you or the baby!!

Yes! As long as the doctor is aware that you are pregnant. You should use anti-biotic to treat it as soon as possible as bacterial infections (if untreated) can cause pre-term labor and many other complications. Believe me taking the medicine poses a better option as opposed to not taking it and getting yourself or your unborn baby sick. You will be fine.

If a doctor who knows you are pregnant prescribed them, he or she ought to have discussed the risks, if any, with you.
