My boyfriend needs a new perscription for his contacts but has no insurance where can he get an exam and perscription for cheap?

they run around 80 bucks for contact exams. Try walamrt or somehwere like that. Stay away from the doctors offices and specialty clinics that have their own separate buildings like pearle and the such.

Totally depends on where you live. Certain states are more strict and the exams will all be around $100. (California and Texas, for example.) Other states are cheaper and you can get exams for as little as $49 (Idaho, for example.)
Good chains to try are EyeMart Express and Wal-Mart Vision Center.

Just call around and compare prices and find out. If he can get the exam done locally, he can send his prescription to 1-800-CONTACTS or something like that and it will be cheaper.

price around! You will be surprised on the difference in prices and what is included...also say your receipts, you might be able to take a deduction off you taxes...get the book "Healthcare for Less" by Michelle Katz....these are just some of the cost saving tips she mentions that are very helpful!

You can go to costco without insurance or a costco card. You can also go to walmart for an eye exam its not expensive at all.

watch for ads. some places will have discounted exams . lenscrafter, optimart, are a couple to watch for but there are others. I have seen some for $25. its the cost of the lenses you really have to watch.

MY LAST EYE EXAM 1 YR. AGO WAS $60.00 AT PEARL VISION IN NORTH CAROLINA.WAL MART WILL DO THEM FOR ABOUT THE SAME PRICE.GOOD LUCK
