I agree with Cate Blanchett. I would also say DiCaprio, Michael Parks, Toni Collette, and Viggo Mortensen.

Best actress: Jodie Foster.
Best actor: Robert De Niro.
They were both in Martin Scorsese's 1976 film "Taxi Driver" and have reunited for the 2007 film "Sugarland" which is being directed by Jodie Foster.
Apart from being a fine actress, I find Jodie Foster very attractive, and she gets better and better with age.

Actor: Johnny Depp -- I'm not a big fan, but you've got to admit that he can play pretty much any role thrown at him.
Actress: Famke Janssen -- It's a shame that she only has a few truly good movies, because she is a fantastic actress./ Jodie Foster -- Versatile, creative, beautiful and can think despite being in Hollywood since childhood. Insightful, as well.

Actress is hard, but I'd say Julia Roberts - she is a good actress Actor, I'd have to say Tom Hanks (that one's easy for me) he can do just about every type of acting there is, and he's always great

In judging actors &actresses I would have to go by thier versitility and thier are many who fit the bill. It is hard for me to pick a specific actress but if pressured I would have to go with Helen Mirren. As far as acors it is an easy choice for me Russell Crowe he carries the mantle that went from Bogart to Nicholson and now Crowe
